Rev 19;11 "And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war."
The day we live in people are searching for truth. We have been lied to for decades from our government. They have hidden the truth about many matters from the public, whether it's about where our money goes, why we fight wars or the truth about public health, they have not been transparent. Sadly this lack of transparency is not only in the government but it's in the church and lives of Christians as well. Pulpits across this land have misrepresented truth for both personal gain and manipulation. Sometimes for power and self image and others for well meaning steering of life's to the way they believe is best. This lack of transparency goes on into the individual lives of men, and more specificity for our purpose today, the lives of Christian. We portray an image of our lives, leading people to think differently of ourselves than what is actually true or what we are really experiencing. Because we fear what people may think.
This age of non-transparency has lead to a search for truth. It has lead many youth and young to middle age adults loosing respect for the church and traditional Christianity because it has preach falsehoods which have been brought into light. Many make a mockery out of the Christianity they were raised in because light has been shed on the falsehood they were taught to preserve the truths. They now not only reject the lies but the truths as well. Children of preachers, deacons, Sunday school teachers, faithful church members are often leaders in rebellion against the church because they have experienced the lies and lack of transparency first hand.
If there has ever been need for transparency it is now. If there has ever been an hour we need to set aside our traditions, and our images, which we have established to conserve our egos and lifestyles by not being honest and transparent about doctrine, worship preferences, trials, failures, depressions, disappointments, what bible verses opinion, it is today. Lives will not be changed, hearts will not be help and prodigals will not return us less we become honest and transparent about matters of life and doctrine again. If we want to be Christians we must be faithful and true as Christ is Faithful and True.
