Can We Have Revival?

There are many today who in response to recent events have began to suggest that revival is not needed or even a possibility. I would like to present the possibility that revival is real and much needed just differently from the opinion of many.        "But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins." This condition that Peter refers to I believe is the condition of many believers today. They are in this condition of being blind and in a condition simular to a lost man because they do not have the traits that Peter refers to in this same chapter. They do not have these traits because most believers today's fail to obey Jesus when he says, "If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me." Paul's writings tells us, "I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.". According to these scriptures we should mortify the members of our flesh daily, but also according to the scriptures we should have a renewing; "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God". This is the revival that we need. We need the old man to die out in our lives and the new man to become new and afresh again in our hearts and lives. We need to remember the work of the cross and the resurrection in our lives because we have forgotten that we were purged from our sins. This is the revival that we need. It's is not a new work of Christ. It is not a power that we have not had. It is not a new gift from God but rather it is the refreshing of the gift we already have. This revival will not be attaine by the falling of God's power to revive a whole church but it can come if we as individuals die out daily and seek out. A church, community, nation will only see revival if we as individuals are renewed daily and joy in our salvation. A church is made up of individual members and if those individuals decide to see this revival that church and experience revival. It your church does not determine to see this renewing you as a individual can still experience the good things of God.

We are not forgotten

Loneliness for some is their greatest fear and difficulty. Many single people fear that they will never meet the right person and they will die alone, especially as they begin to age. Some have a difficult time finding true friends. Everyone can find a "friend" that will be a friend when it's convenient and fun. Few people have true friends though that will stick with you through thick and thin; through time and miles of separation. When one does not have a true friend it's easy to begin to feel alone.          Depression is the leading cause of disability in ages 14-44 in the USA. One statistic says that 7.2 percent of adult Americans are dealing with depression. Often this sense of loneliness goes hand in hand with depression. Often either the depression is a result of the loneliness or the loneliness is a result of the depression. Many times one can be surrounded by people but feel as no one cares, or understands.          As Christians we can feel this loneliness  as well. Some time it can even be a result of our stand for God. People may avoid us because we try to live a life honoring to God. We don't live lives that condon sin. Sometimes we even face loneliness as Christians because the breather don't aproved of us or they are possible even jealous of our walk with Christ.          As christians we have no need to ever feel alone. Everyone may abandon us, we may not have any friends, Our family may disown us our, our spouse may walk out on us, but we can rest assured that God will never leave us, He will never forsake us. Hebrews 13:5 says,  "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." Many times we begin to look around us and see others and the friends that they have. We then become uncontent with what we God has given us. If it be a spouse, a friend, a child or a closer family as we see others having those relations we don't have we begin to desire after what God has not give to us but rather what he has given to other. We then begin to feel alone because we dont have those relationship others may have.          God tell us to not let is be so in our lives. We should not let covetousness rule but rather we need to look at what we do have. Hebrews goes on to say we have a friend the will always be there for us. He is better than any friend, wife, family member or other relationship one may have. Other leave, other disappoint, others abandon us but Christ never will.          As I grow and study the word of God, he is revealing that he will but us threw difficulties to make us realize our need to depend upon him. He will remove relationship in our lives and allow loneliness to enter our lives with the purpose of to draw us closer to him and to depend on him more. When we face loneliness God is desiring for us to look to him to fill that void, so what ever your need is don't look to others people, possessions or poisons but look to our protector, provider and personal friend to feel that void.   r
